CRUCIBLE OBSTACLE COURSE RACE
Our Fall 1/2 Crucible at Camp Down Range will be hosted on Saturday, October 6, 2018. This is a great option for first-time participants to get a taste of what our Spring Crucible Event is like. It is also a great refresher course for veterans of our annual Crucible event each Spring.

Why did the name change?
Due to the necessary location change of Mud Heights, Crucible's predecessor, we felt a name change was also in order. Don't worry, the race is shaping up to be better than ever!
How many obstacles are there?
There will be 30+ obstacles of all difficulty levels.
Will there be parking?
There will be FREE parking at the event with a short walk to the registration area. Race parking is on the left immediately after turning into Camp Down Range, 3213 Clinton-Tinnin Rd, Clinton, MS 39056. Google Maps Location // Directions
Should I run it?
YES! This race is for everyone. Bring your willpower.
What is the ELITE heat?
The ELITE heat is a special division that runs at 8:00 AM and requires participants to complete every single obstacle as it was designed. ELITE athletes will be gunning for the coveted top 3 male/female positions that award a CASH prize, fame, honor and prestige. If you're competitive, you'll want to give the course a try in this heat. REMEMBER: You are NOT penalized for failing an obstacle, however you will have to complete it to move on and remain in ELITE contention. This may require multiple attempts.

What should I wear?
Most people wear an old pair of shoes and tight fitting clothing including long sleeves and leggings to give moderate protection against minor cuts and scrapes. However, people will typically show up in just about anything. Even a banana costume.
Is there a kids' run?
YES! Due to loads of interest, we will be having a 1-mile Kids' Run for the diminutive warriors among us. Expect the course to be safer and easier, but just as muddy.
Should I bring friends?
YES! This kind of race is MADE for a group of friends. If you've never done an obstacle course race before, this is the perfect place to start. You'll be talking about it for years to come. Bring your smack talk and encouraging words. You're gonna need both.
Will my family be able to watch?
YES! Bring your family and they will be able to see you clearly at different points in the race. We have some obstacles set up specifically for the viewing audience. Expect some hearty cheers at these sections!
I'm still not sure about it. Should I sign up?
This race's mission is not foremost about money, but you. We are doing everything we can think of to make this a fun and pleasant experience for everyone. We want to put on a great event for years to come and make this something the community comes to love. So, YES! Sign up!
